Maybe heaven is such a perfect place that there are no negative emotions , while we bask in God's love. So why would our souls want to come here, to Earth? I think even our soul's want a little excitement. What if coming to Earth for our soul is like taking a white water raft ride. Some people find white water rapids exciting and they have faith that if they stay in the raft it will take them on an exhilarating ride.
When you go to get on your raft, you see you have been assigned a guide that has been through the same ride many times and you feel they have complete faith that you will arrive at the end of the ride perfectly healthy. Your guide wants you to enjoy the ride and trust that they will be there with guidance when you hit rocky patches. You would never ask the guide to skip the ride and drive you to the end; wouldn't you miss ride, all the experiance and fun?
In life you do have God and at least one personal guide that he has assigned you. Have faith! Your raft will be taken by the current of life and it will take you exactly where your thoughts desire. When you feel negative emotions, just picture it as getting out of your raft and you are swimming upstream and that is difficult and exhasting. When you are feeling positive emotion you have faith in your life and you are enjoying the ride and letting current take you. When you see rocky water ahead or you think you might wreck into someone else's raft; Do not jump out or swim; just have some faith and the current will steer you in the right direction. If you are lonely, depressed, tired, unhappy or any negative emotion; it is a sign that maybe you aren't going in the right direction. Stop and think what choices should I make differently am I hanging on to an idea or something or someone that is causing me to go in the oposite direct and it feels like swimming upstream it is exhausting. Figure it out, let go, have some faith and you will start heading down stream, you will know it is the right choice because it will feel easier and it will include great positive emotions like love, joy, appreciation. Life on Earth is full of contrast, that we can handle, without loosing faith. Enjoy and most of all appreciate the ride you are on.
